> Go Nagai's New Cutey Honey is set in a futuristic world where evil comes
in all shapes and sizes. The legendary battle android, Honey Kisaragi
(Cutey Honey), is summoned to defeat the Lord of Darkness, Dolmeck.
She is the ultimate warrior, capable of changing at will into a dazzling
array of hard-hitting hardbodies each with its own unique set of skills,
weapons and impressive physical attributes.
> The man behind Cutey Honey's gorgeous animation is Go Nagai. His
style combines awesome character animation with stills, strobe motion,
and abstract cityscapes. A nice touch is the matte still image which
signifies the end of an episode. Add in great English dubbing and
sound effects, plus a catchy theme song to complete the package.
> Episode 1 starts with Honey as the mayor's secretary and being oblivious
to her true identity. Dolmeck unleashes evil on the city, and Deathstar
threatens to kill the mayor and Chokkei (Honey's young friend). Danbei
(Chokkei's grandfather) manages to help Honey remember who she is, and
she transforms into the Lovely Warrior...
> In Episode 2, Honey faces the Jewel Princess, who has an unhealthy interest
in Honey's body. Virtual Hacker and Black Maiden (Dolmeck's right
hand soldier) offer to help in the Jewel Princess' quest to add Honey to
her collection of beautiful statues. Honey transforms into an S&M
Queen (among other personas) to defeat them...
> In Episode 3, Honey becomes a rock star while searching for the source
of the mutation-drug that all her foes have utilized. Saline, a popular
rock star, is working for Dolmeck as the distributor of this drug, which
gives super-human powers to the user. This is where Dolmeck discovers
the secret of Honey's abilities -- she's an android.
> Episode 4 features Honey's climactic battle with Dolmeck, who has kidnapped
Chokkei. Honey faces Peeping Spider and Black Maiden during her assault
on Dolmeck's mother ship. The ship is going down in flames, thanks
to Danbei, Daiko (Chokkei's mother) and Akakabu (Chokkei's father).
