Overview:
Note: The Blu-ray release contains all 8 episodes, song subtitles, trailers, clean openings & endings, audio drama, and more! (July 31, 2019)

     > In an alternate universe where evil comes in all shapes and sizes, the legendary battle android, Cutey Honey, is summoned to defeat Panther Zora's army of shape-changing villains.  She is the ultimate warrior -- capable of changing at will into a dazzling array of lovely-but-lethal bodies, each with its own unique set of skills, weapons and impressive physical attributes.

     > Go Nagai brings Cutey Honey's excellent animation to fans once more.  His style combines awesome character animation with stills, strobe motion, and at least in Collection 2, somewhat realistic cityscapes.  Another thing he included was way too much non-shaded animation to the eighth episode.  Bah!  What's this, cost cutting?  Add in great English dubbing and sound effects, plus a catchy theme song to complete the package.

     > Episode 5:  The city is threatened by a hidden nuclear bomb that is set to go off at midnight.  In order to save the city and its citizens, Danbei utilizes his "magic undies" move, while Honey becomes a pretty pink nurse, cop, and super-biker!  The evil spawn Panther Zora has other plans though...

     > Episode 6:  Yasha, a magical samurai, stages a drama of life and death with the help of her undead mannequins.  Yasha claims to be invincible to Honey's blade attacks, but we all know she can "flash" into numerous lethal weapons!  Chokkei and family take care of the undead while Honey rewrites Yasha's book.

     > Episode 7:  Daiko is kidnapped by the "Thug Alliance" and taken to Con Island, which is run by the ruthless bloodthirsty Scorpion.  The prison on this island is there solely to entertain Scorpion with bloodsport fighting matches.  Honey becomes a diver, sea captain, and big time wrestler in order to rescue the potential victims and put Scorpion out of business.

     > Episode 8:  Professor Kabuto, who did Danbei's cyborg surgery, creates an "Instant Space Removal Machine" (ISRM), which is essentially a portable teleportation device.  Golddigger wants all the gold in the world so she steals the ISRM in order to teleport in and out of vaults at will.  Honey becomes a knight in white armor and enlists the help of Peeping Spider in order to stop this reincarnation of Black Maiden...

Bottom Line:
     > The proliferation of evil is Cutey Honey's main concern.  Honey's contract says that her breasts are not to be damaged, and that's a good thing!  Go Nagai maintains great battle scenes and animation, while the backdrops get a face lift of realism.  My main beef with Collection 2 is the eighth episode, which contains way too much non-shaded animation for my taste.  Overall, the characters are likable and the story is interesting, yet down a couple notches from Collection 1.  Collection 2 contains four episodes for a great value.
