> If you're a fan of anime/comic games, then look no further to one of
the coolest characters around -- none other than Todd McFarlane's Spawn.
Now, as you know, "cool" doesn't guarantee anything (like quality or fun)
so Capcom needs to do something with this license. Anyway, Spawn
is basically an assassinated CIA agent who returns from hell via a pact
with the devil. He has unholy powers and is supposed to lead hell's
army on the mortal plane. However, Spawn betrays the devil and dedicates
his powers to battling evil...
> Capcom promises 10 levels of action packed, demonic multiplayer mayhem!
Choose from Boss Attack (defeat the boss within the given time), Team Battle
(Red Team vs. Green Team; max 3 characters per team), and Battle Royal
(every man for himself) modes. On your way from the earthly reality
to the metaphysical hyper-reality, you'll fight against numerous enemies
in arena type combat (similar to Capcom's Power Stone for Naomi/Dreamcast).
Your ultimate goal is to defeat Malebolgia in an infernal match to the
death. To enhance replay value, each character (around eleven total)
will have a unique ending. Various weapons are at your disposal including
land mines, swords, guns, spears, grenades, and more.
> As you probably know, Capcom plans on porting this game to the Uberconsole
sometime in 2000. Hopefully, since it's likely to reach us near Christmas,
Capcom will include SegaNet online play. |
