Introduction
     > The next installment of Sega's greatest game series ever, which took two years for Sega to finish, was worth the wait. Sonic Team strived for a faster-paced and more action-packed sequel to Sonic Adventure. This game goes above and beyond its predecessor in many ways. It features great visuals, sound and inventive gameplay, plus tons of new characters like the evil hedgehog, Shadow. You must decide to play the "Hero Side" or the "Dark Side" in a game with beautiful scenery which was influenced by US locations such as Yosemite National Park and San Francisco.

     > Playing the import version is no problem for Western game players, as most of what you need to know is in English.

Graphics
     > The graphics have been greatly improved since the original Sonic Adventure that launched with the Dreamcast two years ago. The character animation in this new installment in the Sonic series is lush, colorful and much more detail than the first. The backgrounds are fully 3D and interactive. They're based on real locations in the US, as mentioned above. You can also change the camera angle to get a better view of your surroundings.
Control
     > The control in Sonic Adventure 2 is just like the original; easy to get a hang of and it makes it fun to control the characters without being a hassle like in some games. The ring health system in this game is similar to other Sonic games. New moves have been added like grind down rails, grab ledges, and swing from poles. You will find it easy to get used to after an hour or so. The Dreamcast controller is almost as good as the Genesis controller from when the first Sonic launched over a decade ago.
Sound
     > The sound is great. The music really gets you in the mood for spinning down streets and escaping from runaway trucks with fast-paced jams. As usual with Sonic games, Sega did a good job with the soundtrack. The voice acting is also pretty good, but could have been better. Many of the sound effects are carried over from Sonic Adventure. Overall, the sound plays out pretty nice.
Fun
     > Play as Sonic, Knuckles, or Tails and try to save the world -- or try Shadow, Rouge, or Dr. Robotnik and try and destroy it. You can play in 3 different modes in the two player section like action, kart race, and chao race. You could just play in the one player mode with boss battle and story mode. You can also connect to the internet to download new chaos and post messages. The new chaos you download can be used in the chao garden to race, or you can download the new version of the vmu game Chao Adventure. This game will keep you glued to the TV screen for hours at a time.
Bottom Line
     > If you like top notch action along with a very playable adventure, then look no further.  Sonic Adventure 2 also features several two-player modes to spice things up even more. Sonic Team shows the world how to make games (again), and this one's just in time for the celebration... That would be the 10th Anniversary of Sonic the Hedgehog!
