     > In early December 2000, when Blue Submarine No. 6 (BSN6) was released, I only knew this game was based on an Anime series by Bandai.  While on vacation last week, I picked a couple of episodes on DVD at a nearby Virgin Megastore.  Each disc contains only one 30 minute feature, but they're very good...

     > A little background.  The oceans of the world have risen, causing all land at sea level to be flooded.  A race of sea dwelling creatures, known as Zorndyke, want to extinguish humanity.  Mankind has placed its hopes in the new vessel Blue Submarine No. 6 and her crew.  Enter your party of submariners led by Tetsu Hayami and Mayumi Kino.  You must battle the Zorndykes with well placed torpedo attacks.  Exploring for sunken treasure is also a mainstay of activity...

     > The importability is low because of a few factors.  BSN6 seems to have a fair amount of talking and transactions.  Most of the text is in Japanese, but there is some English.  I assume the cockpit screens are the sea-fighters you control, while doing battle with the Zorndykes and searching for treasure.  That's about all I can tell you for now...

FIRST IMPRESSION:
     > Blue Submarine No. 6 is definitely an Anime series begging to be transformed into a game.  I'm pretty sure Sega can be relied upon to make a quality product.  If we're lucky, a savvy US publisher will localize this game for American consumption...
