> Crazy Taxi mixes
Harley Davidson & LA Riders (Model 3) and Courier Crisis (Saturn).
Crazy Taxi allows you to select from four different taxi drivers, each
with their own customized old-school taxicabs. Your objective is to pick
up passengers and deliver them to their destinations as quickly as possible
in order to earn the maximum fare and additional time. Like Harley,
arrows will guide you along the way.
> Getting to your
destination usually means taking short cuts through parks, driving on the
wrong side of the road, and on the sidewalks -- not to mention the fun
you'll have attempting to nail innocent pedestrians! Now for the
interesting part... your passenger will actually complain if you
go too fast and drive too recklessly, even though you'll get a bigger tip
for arriving in a timely manner!
> Naturally the
graphics are outstanding since the game was originally on the Naomi board.
AM3 produced sharp, realistic, and colorful locales that whizz by in smooth
fashion. Real life locations like Pizza Hut, Tower Records, and KFC
are included as well. San Francisco never looked this good at home.
The Dreamcast version will reportedly have new, additional levels including
downtown, freeway, and beach locales.
> Since this is
an arcade/driving game, import fans should have no trouble playing it.
Surely the US version will follow shortly after the Japanese release as
the conversion will be trivial. Hopefully Sega can make the game
control well with the racing wheel... |
