> Do you remember a game called Kings Bounty (Genesis) published by Electronic Arts??? Well, it's a strategy/RPG which the Heroes of Might and Magic series is based on. Thanks to the savvy publisher, Ubi Soft, Heroes of Might and Magic III (HMM3) will make the journey from PC to Dreamcast. > HMM3 sets the stage for epic battles of strategy and tactics with over 40 missions, a plot-driven campaign mode, and 8 player hot-seat. Your job is to restore the Royal Family's rightful reign after the King's treacherous murder. Your army is forged from 16 Hero types and over 100 unique combat units. Your mastery of sword and spell will turn the tide of battle against hordes of living and undead monsters. > The graphics aren't really going to push the limits of uberpower, but that's ok. Battles are presented in a tactical view, which works well for this genre. Menus, items, and maps can also be accessed to make strategic decisions. As you know, gameplay is key in a strategy/RPG game, and HMM3 has plenty to spare. > I spent a lot of time on the prequel to this, HMM2 for PC, so I'm really excited to see this game on the Uberconsole. Strategy is the kind of thinking I like to do in games. This will make a good diversion until Phantasy Star Online hits our shores. |
