     > Langrisser goes way back to the Genesis days of RPG supremacy.  To this day, Warsong (Genesis) is the only Langrisser title to be published in America.  Since then, the series has come a long way with multiple incarnations appearing on the Sega Saturn.  As many of you know, Strategy/RPGs are my favorite genre so the advent of this latest Langrisser title coming to the Uberconsole has me really excited.

     > Langrisser Millennium (LM) features a real-time, fully polygonal game engine.  Instead of simply clearing strategic battles, LM will have two parts: Strategy Map and Battle.  In Strategy Map you can organize, dispatch, outfit, and train your troops -- all of which occurs in real-time.  During the Battle portions you'll organize up to four personal troop leaders for use (selectable; one at a time) during action-based battles.  Formations, negotiation, and persuasion will also be on your list of duties in the Battle mode.

     > LS combined with Black Matrix and the looming possibility of Shining Force IV makes the Dreamcast a hot prospect for Strategy/RPG players.  Black Matrix is confirmed for America so maybe another publisher will get the message.  Lastly, graphics and gameplay are basically given -- music and fun is where NCS will have to shine on...

FIRST IMPRESSION:
     > Hopefully someone will translate Langrisser Millennium for the American audience.  Maybe the enormous success of the uberlaunch will hasten the conversion...  I, for one, can't wait to play the any version!
Potential: 9
