> I'd just like
to report that I've played the demo of Ready 2 Rumble Boxing and it's sweet!
The graphics are detailed (as expected), the control is mint (although
the instructions would have been nice) and the sound is great. I
put my money down for R2RB come 9-9-99... and over half a dozen other uber-games...

> From the maker's
of NBA Jam (Genesis, Sega CD, 32X, GG, and Saturn) and NFL Blitz, the Dreamcast
gets the highly anticipated Arcade/Fighter known as Ready 2 Rumble Boxing
(R2RB). With Blitz-style, over-the-top gameplay, R2RB showcases the
stunning 128-bit graphics capabilities of the Dreamcast, according to Midway.
Oh... and don't forget the famous voice of boxing fame, the one and only
Michael Buffer.
> The game will
feature the choice of 20 boxers, each with their own look, moves, and fighting
style. There will be an unlimited number of punch combinations for
both realistic and over-the-top boxing styles. The moves will be
split into three categories: basic (all fighters), advanced (character
specific), and rumble (most powerful and unique). You'll be able
to choose from Arcade, Championship, Versus, and Internet modes as well.
To top it off, R2RB has VMU (VMS) support which allows you to save your
progress and keep track of your blow accuracy during the fight.
> The game is
said to run at the Dreamcast standard of 60 fps, which provides smooth,
realistic movement. R2RB will be loaded with cut-scenes, highly detailed
textures, and special effects. Of course, what would a fighting game
be without great looking taunts? Don't worry, they're in there...
> This is shaping
up to be a must-buy for launch customers as well as procrastinators.
The Dreamcast is set to break even more records around the world with the
help of third party publishers and developers. You can be a part
of it or you can patiently sap xenon (PSX)... |
