> Slave Zero is
being converted from the PC to the Dreamcast courtesy of Accolade.
The game is essentially a 3D, third person, mech/shooter similar to Bandai's
Gundam series (Saturn, Dreamcast). Other than annihilating all your
enemies, the main objective is to steal the world's most sophisticated
biomechanical weapon.
> The sensation of
being a gigantic mech is provided by the tiny humans, vehicles and size
of the streets. The animation is supposed to be smooth while the
locales are futuristic and full of lighting effects. Slave Zero's
gameplay involves targeting, shooting, power-ups, weapon upgrades and boss
encounters.
> Frustration may be
a factor as the control scheme supposedly has a learning curve. As
for networking, we'll have to settle for a 4 player split screen mode for
now. At least Slave Zero will likely look and play better than its
computer brother (at least it's the developer's stated goal). |
