Basics
|
-
You normally get the first turn
in a battle so take advantage of your team's initial position by moving
them into attack range or position.
-
Attacking an enemy from the
side or rear does much more damage than a frontal assault.
-
Use the cursor to see the health,
magic, and weapon of your force and the enemy's.
-
Watch your position when attacking
magic wielding enemies since many spells can hit more than one hex at a
time.
-
It's best to stick together
around non-magic wielding foes so that they can't surround you as easily.
-
If you don't like the position
or attack potential during a move, then just press the B button a few times
to return to the given character's original position.
-
Attack with ranged weapons first,
then move in for the close-combat kill.
-
Always finish off one enemy
at a time by surrounding him/her.
-
Whenever you can, hit an enemy
with 0 health for a chance to gain bonus magic points.
-
Try to bait one enemy at a time
when magic wielding enemies are in a group.
