     > Due to multiple lawsuits levied against it for importing Japanese PSPs to consumers in areas of the world not blessed with their presence (namely Europe which is a bigger market than Japan for games now), the importer Lik Sang could no longer afford to keep its doors open.

     > I guess Sony wanted to make an example out of someone to discourage the import of PS3s to Europe before the official release, and other potential markets such as China. As if Sony would lose money when the products are still being bought from the soulless money making corporation.

     > I've never believed that we should be put in a position where we are forced to import great games, but when other products and even platforms are delayed for no good reason, why wait? What's next? Making the import of English subbed Japanese RPGs from the states to Europe illegal just because someone at some point may want to officially release it, and importing may deprive them of a potential sale in the possible future in a market with a more exploitable currency? People were against emulating older games from ancient consoles at one point out of fear that they may be deprived of sales from potential retro collections. But emulators were mostly played by hardcore gamers who bought the games when they were new, and just wanted to preserve them for future generations (and rightfully so). If we can play
devil's advocate, then why can't the men in suits do so as well? Their "precious" profits mean more to them than anything else, and it's blinding them to the truth which will only hurt them(selves) in the end.

     > I'm almost glad that the PSP is a shaky platform from which to launch titles. Sony made the same mistake Sega made with the moderately successful Game Gear: more graphical power under that portable hood than the competition isn't necessarily the answer, especially when it means draining battery life like there's no tommorow. What happened to learning from the mistakes of history?

     > Sony's paranoia of losing profits will get it no where.

Good Gaming,
