> When Sonic R first
came out for Saturn, everyone complained that it wasn't the much hyped
"Sonic Extreme". After new Saturn games stopped coming, people said
Sega never released a "real" Sonic game for Saturn. Well, even though
Sonic R isn't the most loved Sonic game to date (by the masses), I can
assure you it isn't based on merit,
rather misplaced expectations. That's another article though.
> The music is just as fast and enjoyable as the game. The signature
song, Super Sonic Racing, was also used in worldwide PR campaigns.
From electronics expos to Disney World, everyone was Super Sonic Racing!
As a result, it wouldn't surprise me to learn of someone's awareness of
this song and complete ignorance to its origin. This goes with the
territory though (sadly). Wisely enough, each level in the game has
a matching song complete with lyrics.
> It's hard to pick a favorite tune among such quality. In the end,
I guess it would be "Super Sonic Racing", mainly because it's so catchy!
As a bonus, tracks 11 and 12 are remixes of "Work It Out" and "Super Sonic
Racing" respectively. The insert contains all the lyrics, which are
in English, and a note from the main composer. This is 80's pop meets
Sonic Racing at its best!

> There's a reason why they call themselves "Marvelous Entertainment".
Fabulous Sonic themed music that can be enjoyed as a music CD at any time.
Try and snag this one before it's banished to ebay forever...
