7 for DC | DREAMCAST
> At a conference in Tokyo, Microsoft has confirmed that DirectX version
7 will be released for Dreamcast soon after it hits PCs. For most
of its PC conversions, the DC currently uses version 6.1 of Microsoft's
driver technology. Obviously the new driver will support more sophisticated
upcoming PC-based games on the Uberconsole.

Limited Edition
Shen Mue | DREAMCAST
> The first chapter of Yu Suzuki's FREE masterpiece is scheduled to hit
the Uberconsole on October 28th (Japan). Dreamcast gamers are due
for a special treat as there will be a ‘limited edition’ version that'll
include a soundtrack CD and special packaging. The price of this
instant collector's item will be about $60 US. Finally, it will be
limited to only 160,000 copies!

Toy Commander
for USA | DREAMCAST
> UK-based No Cliché has confirmed that Toy Commander will indeed
be released in America as well as Europe. In the game you take control
of various toys in a battlefield (kids room) and go head-to-head against
other toys. The gameplay also features free reign in the beautifully
presented 3D worlds. Expect to see it hit America before the end
of 1999.
