Vacation

> It's that time of year again... Long time readers know that I always
go on vacation in December. I'm heading to Florida for some warmer
weather (hopefully) and some needed relaxation. I plan to see Sega's
gigantic new display at Disney's Epcot center, which should be a lot of
fun and quite interesting. Anyway, the next update will be either
next Wednesday or Thursday... seeya!

> Starting December 16 in Japan, HMV will sell 850 limited-edition Dreamcast
Christmas Seaman packages. Included in the box is a Christmas-themed
Dreamcast (clear red), VMU, controller, and of course Christmas Seaman.
Check with import houses or (better yet) contact a friend in Japan if you
hope to own this collector's item.

> By Spring 2000, Sega plans to begin distributing games over the Internet
for the Uberconsole in Japan. They will offer Mega Drive (Genesis)
and PC Engine (Turbo Grafx 16) games to the tune of over 300 titles!
A special GD-ROM is needed to play after the game is downloaded.
I would assume that the disk has an emulator on it, but I guess that's
not for sure. The cost to download will be several hundred yen per
game.
