Bleemcast
is Coming | DREAMCAST
> You guessed it! Bleem (the PSX emulator originally for PC) is coming
to an Uberconsole near you this Summer. It will initially be released
as four different "bleempaks", each will have 100% compatibility with 100
different PSX games. The suggested retail price is about $20 and
the first bleempak should hit stores around June 15 with the other three
arriving by the end of Summer.
> In response to the need for a Dual Shock controller for certain games,
Bleem is rolling out two additional products: Bleempad and Bleempod, set
to ship in the fourth quarter. Bleempad is essentially a Dual Shock
controller while Bleempod is a PSX controller adapter -- both are designed
specifically to work with Bleemcast. PSX memory cards can also be
utilized for game saves and VMU transfers. While Bleemcast will probably
play CD-Rs, unfortunately, it will lock out games not explicitly supported.
> That's not all... Bleem will also release two bleempaks which
support an additional 100 import games each -- one for Japanese NTSC games,
and one for European PAL games. These should make it out by the end
of the year, but as they are a niche item, will only be available for order
Online.
