> Final Fight Revenge is a pseudo sequel to Capcom's successful side-scrolling
beat 'em up series. The most notable in the series was the perfect
arcade translation of Final Fight to the Sega CD (known as Final Fight
CD). Actually, the Sega CD version's music was far superior.
At any rate, Final Fight Revenge (FFR) is a 3D fighter similar to Virtua
Fighter 2 (arcade/Saturn). The arcade original uses the ST-V board
(basically a Saturn) so the conversion should be cut-and-dry. Capcom
will utilize the 4 MB RAM cartridge to ensure that nothing is lost and
everything is gained.
> I've never seen this game in the arcades and from what I've read, FFR
wasn't too popular. That's ok though... after all, I own and
play a Saturn, which isn't exactly on top of the "how to be cool list".
This hardcore gamer (me) will not miss the opportunity to play another
Capcom fighter for the dual 32 bit monster.
> My guess is the control scheme will be similar to all Capcom fighters
(6 button). As you can see, there will be 10 immediately selectable
characters in the game. It's weird that only one of them is a female!?
Special moves and even some weapons will be at your disposal. Beyond
that, I'll know more when this gem is in my hands and I review it.
> The import factor is high since it's a fighter. Besides, it's not
coming to America (as if you didn't know). I suggest you pre-order
this game if you hope to own it because only limited quantities will be
produced and available to import houses. If not, there's supposed
to be a Dreamcast version in the works and hopefully we'll get some details
on it soon... |
