     > Xbox has great potential to be an awesome console, especially when you consider Sega's pledged support of Jet Set Radio Future, Panzer Dragoon IV, and Shenmue II.  Well, if you're looking for some launch-day X-citement, then turn your eyes to Team Ninja's Dead or Alive 3 (DOA3)!  As you know, the original Dead or Alive and Dead or Alive 2 were among my favorite games for their respective consoles.  Team Ninja exceeded the hype for both prequels.  Therefore, I assume Tecmo can meet the claim that only Xbox is powerful enough to handle DOA3...

     > To be quite frank, the main reason for my love of this series is the beautifully animated female characters, like Kasumi, Ayane, and Tina.  That's not to say the gameplay and graphics aren't top notch (because they are).  The fact remains that in a world of fighters galore, you need to develop a niche in order to gain attention.  Team Ninja has done so with bouncing baby feeders and one heck of a "smart" game =)

     > DOA3 will incorporate new concepts, huge multi-level stages, and characters (like Hitomi and Christie) while maintaining its sleek, albeit refined combat system.  Of course, with the "unlimited" power of Xbox, Team Ninja has created the most realistic and lively locales seen in a fighter to date.  For instance, you'll see birds flying, ice breaking into shards, leaves falling, and trees fluttering in the breeze!  That's not all...  Each character's muscles will flex and change shape according to their position and move being performed!  The only other thing they need to add is a hot rockin' soundtrack.  Let's hope for the best!

FIRST IMPRESSION:
    > The bottom line is simple.  If you're getting an Xbox this Holiday Season, then DOA3 should be the first game you buy.  It's exclusive to Xbox for at least 3-6 months, while a PS2 version would reportedly require downgrading.  Either way, you can't go wrong with a game created by Team Ninja.
Potential: 9+
