     > A brilliant scientist named Dr. Hebble has a series of technological breakthroughs in this fictional 19th century time line.  (I've heard this before...)  Dr. Hebble disappears and an aggressive alien species threatens to extinguish mankind.  You are part of "Gunvalkyrie", a government and scientist sanctioned organization whose mission is to find the missing scientist, and return order to the world.

     > Gunvalkyrie started out being a game for Dreamcast, before it was moved to Xbox.  Smilebit originally intended to use the Dreamcast controller and gun for double fisted shooting action -- wow, that would've been cool.  At any rate, the gameplay is fast, furious, and complex. You'll travel through huge worlds while utilizing every button on your "over-sized" Xbox controller.  Some of the moves at your disposal are dash, duck and dive, as well as fire (naturally).  I gather from the screen shots that flight is possible and probably preferable.  Vital to success is your selection of the correct weapon for the job.  Mission objectives and boss fights are included as well.

     > Smilebit promises a state of the art graphics engine to achieve smooth, realistic texture-models, stunning environmental effects, and a rock solid frame rate.  Choose from 8 distinct types of customizable weaponry and 2 controllable characters.  Use GVP (money) to buy items which upgrade your suit and weapons.  All this is presented in with a popular Japanese animation graphic style called "Japanimation technique", which makes shading effects in the game tremendously vibrant (we'll see... lol).

First Impression
     > Smilebit is quickly becoming one of Sega's best development teams with great games like Jet Set Radio and Hundred Swords (both for Dreamcast) under their belt.  Gunvalkyrie was originally a Dreamcast game so they've had some time to tweak it.  I'm confident these factors will combine to produce a worthy title.
