Intro |
> Don't let the name or cover fool you, X2: Wolverine's Revenge (X2:WR)
is an X-Men game that has little to do with the new theatrical release
of X2: X-Men United. You recently discovered that a virus has been planted
inside of you and will go deadly in 48 hours. It's up to you with the help
of other X-Men to go back to the beginning of Wolverine's past and try
and find the antidote before it's too late. |
Graphics |
> X2:WR was design for a multi-console release so don't expect any giant
changes among the different versions. This game has highly detailed environments
as
well
as characters. The real-time cutscenes also add a nice touch to the game.
Compared to Spider-Man on Xbox, the graphics in this one don't even come
close. |
Control |
> There are a lot of different things you need to figure out the buttons
for in X2:WR. From your animal keen senses to figuring out how to put your
claws away it shouldn't be too difficult to get the hang of, I just recommend
reading the instruction manual first. |
Sound |
> The in-game tracks really set the mood for a intense action adventure
game like this. If you get tired of the original tracks, X2:WR supports
custom soundtracks from your Xbox hard drive (which can work really well
with this game). |
Fun |
> X2:WR is very fun. If you're a fan of the Spider-Man games from Activision,
the gameplay goes along with those games perfectly. From trying to locate
all of Wolverine's different costumes (throughout comic book history) or
seeing what Marvel character you'll run into next, there are lots of things
to do and unlock in this top notch action adventure from Activision. |
Bottom
Line |
> If you're a diehard Marvel Comics fan, you will enjoy every second of
X2:WR. If not, I would really recommend renting this title first. This
is one of the best X-Men games I've played since the 16 bit era. |
