I just picked this up a few weeks ago and I'd say it's well worth the price of admission. For $39 you get the original game plus the Dark Arisen Expansion, which ads at least 40 hours of fun, new enemies and equipment. Don't miss out on this excellent action/RPG from Capcom.

Daimon Tips

If you want to waste Daimon (final boss), then here's what you do:
Visit Founival (Gran Soren - Noble Quarter) and buy at least 4 Demon Periapts (Sorceror) or 4 Conqueror's Periapts (any striker job).

As you begin fighting the first Daimon form, consume 1 Periapt. Mages use Holy Enchantment continuously and everyone else try to hit his head. Try to dodge his magic and physical attacks.

Anytime Daimon moves to the middle of the arena and begins the Gravity spell, Mages should hit him with a Fireball spell while others should hit his head to knock him out of it.

As you begin fighting Daimon's second form, consume the other 3 Periapts at once. Mages use Holy Enchantment continuously and everyone else try to hit his head. Again, beware of the Gravity spell. If you knock either of Daimon's forms to the ground, he'll take massive damage.

He will be dead in no time.

Death Tips

Death (Grim Reaper) can be overwhelming for the uninitiated.

As soon as you hear the distinctive chime music that accompanies Death's arrival, pause the game and empty all the worthwhile booty that your two extra Pawns are carrying into your or your Pawn's inventory. Unless you want to be the beacon of Death's attention, turn your lamp off now. You might want to Save too. You'll need to rehire any Pawns that die from Death's Reaper Scythe attack.

Death has three moves: Blue Lamp puts characters to sleep (unless immune); White Lamp signals the broad stroke of his Reaper Scythe (instant death to all within range, even monsters); lastly, he can warp from place to place as well.

The easiest way to kill Death is to become any Archer job and use Blast Arrows to knock him down. Once he's down for the count, push Up on the D-pad to encourage all your Pawns to "Go" after him. If you happen to shoot Death down over a chasm, he will die instantly from the fall, but you won't get any booty.

To chip away at Death, Mages can use Holy Enchantment and Fireballs, while Strikers have to wait until he flies low enough to engage (or gets knocked down). Once you take off about one bar of life, Death will disappear (until your next encounter).

After you kill Death, he will respawn like all monsters.
