> Hey, the first Shutokou Battle got mixed reviews from gameplayers, but I am one who enjoyed it thoroughly. The good news is that Genki is about to release the sequel in Japan, followed closely by an American debut. Shutokou Battle 2 (SB2) is more of the same with more cars, longer tracks, and more parts to change. Choose from Quest, Quick, Time Attack, Free Run, and Network (Japan) modes. Note: I have heard no concrete word on whether the American version will include network play. > Just by looking at the pictures, I can tell that Genki has really bumped up the graphics. They've included tons of detail, amazing reflections, and realistic lighting effects. I expect they'll keep the 60 fps since they deleted the versus mode. Anyway, behold the pix below which show the amazing detail of the cars! Speaking of cars, you'll get 60 car types and 300 cars in all this time! SB2 also features 180 km of roads to travel -- that's compared to about 30 km in the first game. > Judging by the pix below, most of the menus will be some or all English. Therefore, I expect the importability to remain the same as the prequel. At any rate, the US version is supposed to be here in early August (fingers crossed)... |
