Dead
or Alive Marketing | DREAMCAST
> Tecmo has big plans for its first Naomi-to-Dreamcast port, the most exciting
Dead or Alive 2. The arcade version is currently available and Tecmo
expects to sell around 5,000 Naomi Dead or Alive 2 boards. That's
nothing compared to their expectation of 300,000 units in America for the
Uberconsole version! An intense marketing plan will be implemented
to meet this goal.
> In the first three months of 2000, we'll see Dead or Alive 2 on TV, radio,
and two page print ads. For additional promotion, collectible Dead
or Alive 2 rainbow holographic posters and Dead or Alive 2 original mini-inflatable
punching bags will be distributed. Sega and Tecmo will promote the
game as a system-seller by including demo discs with Dreamcast systems
and the Official DC Magazine.
> It's good to see that this game, which will likely unseat Soul Calibur
as the prettiest DC fighter, is getting this kind of marketing attention.
I don't know about you, but I was convinced a while ago on Dead or Alive
2...
